Stock market live: On the day of February expiry, there were ups and downs in the market throughout the day. Nifty closed with a fall for the 5th consecutive day. Nifty Bank closed after recovering from lower levels. Nifty fell 43 points to 17,511, Sensex fell 139 points to close at 59,606. Nifty Bank climbed 6 points to close at 40,002. Of the 50 Nifty stocks, 26 closed in the red and 24 in the green. Out of 12 shares of Nifty Bank, 9 closed in green and 3 in red mark. Buying in 13 stocks of Sensex while selling in 17. Realty, Energy, Infra closed with a fall in stocks. The Metal FMCG index closed with slight gains. Midcap, Smallcap closed flat.
