Adani Airport Holdings Limited (AAHL) earned global recognition after the Prix Versailles included two of its airports in the World’s Most Beautiful Airports List 2026.
The organisation’s Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) and Terminal 2 of Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport (LGBIA) in Guwahati secured recognition for their architectural excellence, sustainability efforts and passenger-focused innovation.
The Prix Versailles, presented annually at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, ranks among the world’s most prestigious architecture and design awards.
Since 2015, the award has recognised airports and terminals that successfully blend innovation, functionality, cultural identity and environmental responsibility.
The selection highlights how modern airports increasingly serve as symbols of development and cultural identity alongside their transportation role.
Judges recognised Terminal 1 of Navi Mumbai International Airport for its lotus-inspired architecture, futuristic design and seamless integration of technology, art and operational efficiency.
The terminal showcases India’s ambitions to build world-class aviation infrastructure and strengthen its position in the global economy.
Terminal 2 of Guwahati’s Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport earned recognition for its Bamboo Orchid-inspired design, which reflects the region’s biodiversity and commitment to sustainability.
The inclusion of both airports highlights AAHL’s focus on developing world-class aviation infrastructure that supports tourism and economic growth.
Other airports on the Prix Versailles 2026 list include Guangzhou, Frankfurt am Main, Kandal Stueng, Pittsburgh and San Diego.
Later this year, three shortlisted airports will receive special World Titles for excellence in architecture and design.
