PM-UDAY’s Single Window Benefits Over 13K In Delhi

The Raj Niwas on Monday revealed that 13,300 applicants from the unauthorized colonies visited single window camp and availed facilities under PM-UDAY as Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena reviewed the progress of single-window camp under the said scheme.

The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) is holding these camps every weekend from November 30 to December 10 in unauthorized colonies on Saxena’s instruction. The Raj Niwas said in its statement that Saxena had asked the DDA to undertake the exercise on a mission mode.

Notably, Prime Minister- Unauthorized Colonies in Deli Awas Adhikar Yojana (PM-UDAY) aims to provides ownership rights to residents of 1731 unauthorized colonies in capital Delhi. The key objective of the scheme is to confer ownership rights to the residents to recognize their legal right on the properties.

The Raj Niwas Said that 13,300 applicants visited the camps to get their properties regularized to avail leg recognition. Majority of the applications were cleared and approved on the spot.

On the directions of Lieutenant Governor Saxena, a second special camp was organized on December 7-8, where sub-registrars were present to expedite property registrations and ensure finality in ownership rights.

Saxena Visit Single Window Camp Under PM-UDAY

This initiative came after Saxena’s recent visit to a camp in Najafgarh, where citizens had requested on-the-spot property registrations. In response, the Lieutenant Governor directed the inclusion of sub-registrars in these camps to facilitate immediate registrations.

Over the course of the two-day camp, more than 2,000 new applications were filed. Additionally, 506 applications received conveyance deeds and authorisation slips, while 21 deeds were officially registered. Thousands of pending regularisation applications were also addressed, with hundreds approved after clearing deficiencies.

The services provided during the camp included issuing conveyance deeds, conducting GIS surveys, facilitating new registrations, and offering assistance with bonds and notarisation. From the weekend of December 7-8, sub-registrars began registering properties on-site.

In addition, similar special camps were organized to clear property mutations due to inheritance and provide electricity connections to 14,000 applicants. These efforts aimed to resolve delays caused by the land-pooling policy.
