PM Modi Is Always Keen On Nation’s Economy & Investment: Kumar Mangalam Birla

Aditya Birla Group Chairman Kumar Mangalam Birla praised PM Narendra Modi’s deep interest in India’s economy and private sector investment.

In a throwback video shared on PM Modi’s 75th birthday, Birla highlighted the Prime Minister’s curiosity, attentiveness, and personal touch in leadership.

PM Modi’s Keen Interest in Economy

Birla said PM Modi always asks about the economy’s performance and the steps needed to boost private investment.

“He is also a very keen listener, so if he asks you a question, he will patiently listen, absorb it, and reflect on it,” Birla remarked.

Recalling his conversations with the Prime Minister, Birla said PM Modi’s questions are always probing and relevant.

“Sometimes, I feel he already knows the answer but seeks validation from me as a senior member of the industry,” Birla noted.

He added that anyone meeting PM Modi must always prepare thoroughly, because the Prime Minister quickly spots any inaccuracies.

Birla also recalled a touching gesture by PM Modi towards his family. During the Vibrant Gujarat Summit, Birla could not attend due to his grandfather’s 93rd birthday celebration in Calcutta.

After Birla sent an apology, PM Modi personally called his grandfather to extend birthday wishes.

“The gesture left a lasting impression on us. My grandfather and grandmother were surprised and touched, and we felt very warmly towards him,” Birla said.

PM Modi, born on September 17, 1950, in Mehsana, Gujarat, served as the state’s Chief Minister for three consecutive terms from 2001 to 2014.

Elected as Prime Minister in 2014, he is currently serving his third term. Over the years, PM Modi has often used his birthday to connect with citizens, launch welfare schemes, and engage in public activities.
