Odisha Government Approves 17 Industrial Projects Worth Over Rs 3,883 Crore

The Odisha government has approved 17 major industrial projects, collectively valued at Rs 3,883.72 crore.

These approvals were granted during the 134th State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) meeting, which was chaired by Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja.

Diverse Sectors To Benefit from Investment

The approved projects span 15 high-impact sectors, including Steel, Iron & Ferro Alloys, Power & Renewable Energy, Pharmaceuticals, Chemicals, Green Hydrogen, Transportation, Storage, Bio Fuel/Bio Fertilizer, Electronics System Design and Manufacturing (ESDM),

Tourism, Green Energy Equipment, and Petroleum & Petrochemicals. This diverse range of investments reflects Odisha’s strategic push to boost industrial growth and innovation across multiple fields.

These projects are expected to generate more than 12,280 jobs, which will provide a significant employment boost for Odisha’s youth. Furthermore, the initiatives will strengthen the industrial base across eight districts: Sambalpur, Rayagada, Ganjam, Jajpur, Angul, Khordha, Dhenkanal, and Jharsuguda.

Odisha’s Focus On Innovation

An official statement emphasized that these approvals align with the state’s commitment to sustainable growth and job creation.

“This landmark clearance comes ahead of the much-anticipated Utkarsh Odisha 2025 Conclave, showcasing the state’s proactive approach to attracting investments and fostering industrial excellence,” the statement noted.

The projects demonstrate Odisha’s focus on innovation, ease of doing business, and socio-economic development, reinforcing its position as one of India’s top investment destinations.

Preparation For Utkarsh Odisha Conclave 2025

The approval of these projects comes just ahead of the highly anticipated Utkarsh Odisha – Make in Odisha Conclave 2025, which will be held in Bhubaneswar on January 28-29. The event aims to attract global investors and showcase the state’s industrial capabilities.

As a precursor to the conclave, the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) National Council will hold five sessions on January 27, featuring participation from over 200 council members. The conclave will also highlight the achievements of 60 MSME entrepreneurs under the age of 40, showcasing Odisha’s emerging entrepreneurial talent.

Commitment to ‘Samrudhha Odisha’ And National Growth

The Odisha government’s proactive measures and strategic focus on industrial and sustainable development align with its vision of contributing significantly to India’s goal of becoming a developed nation by 2047.

This commitment underscores the state’s dedication to building a “Samrudhha Odisha”, a prosperous and thriving region at the forefront of India’s industrial growth.
