Narendra Modi: Nagpur To Get Vande Bharat Express, AIIMS, Metro Phase II, Airport Upgradation

Narendra Modi: will be in Nagpur tomorrow where he will be laying the foundation stone and inaugurating projects worth 75,000 crore.

In light of this, the Nagpur government would send out about 4,000 police officers from various units for security duties.
On Saturday, route tests will be conducted by the police with Special Protection Group (SPG) troops present.

Narendra Modi:will flag off the Vande Bharat Express between Nagpur and Bilaspur.

PM will also lay the foundation stone of Nagpur Metro Phase-II, inaugurate the first phase of ‘Samruddhi Mahamarg’, connecting Nagpur and Shirdi, and dedicate to the nation an AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences) located in the city’s MIHAN area.
At a public function in Vidarbha city, the prime minister will launch and inaugurate railway projects worth more than 1,500 crore, the PMO said.
As per a tentative tour program shared by the local administration, the PM will arrive at Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport in Nagpur at 9.40 am from New Delhi and head to the city railway station, where he will flag off the Vande Bharat Express. Later in the day, he will take part in various functions before travelling to Goa.

Narendra Modi: Upgradation Of Airpot

In November 2016, the prime minister placed the airport’s cornerstone, according to a formal press release. The airport was constructed with an estimated cost of Rs 2,870 crores using sustainable infrastructure practises. In addition to other such amenities, it boasts a solar power plant, green buildings, LED lighting on the runway, rainwater collection, and a cutting-edge sewage treatment system with recycling capabilities.

It has included various best-in-class technology, including 5G compatible IT infrastructure, StabilRoad, Robomatic Hollow precast walls, and 3-D Monolithic Precast structures. The airport has a runway wide enough to accommodate the largest aircraft in the world, 14 parking spaces and a facility for aircraft night parking, self-baggage drop facilities, state-of-the-art and autonomous air navigation infrastructure, among other characteristics.

Around 4.4 million passengers per year (MPPA) will be served initially by phase I of the airport, with a saturation capacity of 33 MPPA expandable. The airport will meet the demands of the tourism sector and further the socioeconomic development of the State. It has the potential to act as a significant logistical centre, connecting several local and foreign locations directly. The airport will also offer multi-modal connections, according to plans.

Narendra Modi: Security Arrangments

According to the officials, Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar finalised the security plans, under which 4,000 people would be deployed, supported by Quick Response Teams, the Riot Control Police, and Home Guards. PMO estimates that 1,000 police officers will be stationed alone at the AIIMS grounds.
