Namma Yatri: we outperform Sam Altman and OpenAI in speed

The Namma Yatri software, developed in Bengaluru, lost its creative edge because to the drama that occurred at the OpenAI offices in San Francisco a few days ago. Using the OpenAI controversy that left the internet in ruins, the auto rickshaw aggregator offered the app a fresh marketing angle. The app claimed in a comical Namma Yatri alert message that it could “pick up faster than the speed of Sam Altman’s return, Reserve your transportation immediately.

Online commenters praised the app for its clever usage of the OpenAI controversy, dubbed it a “Peak Bengaluru” moment. Sam Altman was fired by OpenAI on November 17th due to “inconsistencies in communication” with the board of the firm. The board declared that it no longer trusted Altman to oversee OpenAI. OpenAI stated that Mira Murati will take Sam Altman’s place as acting CEO.

Sam Altman and Greg Brockman, co-founders of OpenAI, were hired by Microsoft to lead a new advanced AI research team after OpenAI abruptly sacked Sam Altman on Friday. But Sam joined OpenAI after the co-founder was invited to collaborate with them.

Ever since its inception a year ago, Namma Yatri has been in the news. Since its November launch last year, Bengaluru’s auto-hailing service has brought in ₹189 crore for its drivers in earnings. The Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC)-backed software was released to compete with Ola and Uber, two taxi aggregators that also offer auto booking features in their applications.
