The adjustments include relocating some teams and employees to different roles. In cases where Meta has eliminated positions, the company is actively working to find alternative opportunities for those affected.
Reports indicate that employees from the Reality Labs division, as well as teams associated with Instagram and WhatsApp, were among those affected. Several individuals took to social media to announce their job losses.

This round of layoffs follows earlier job cuts within Meta, including those in its Reality Labs division earlier this year. In a broader context, the company, led by CEO Mark Zuckerberg, has undergone significant workforce reductions, laying off 11,000 employees in 2022 and another 10,000 in 2023.
Additionally, Meta withdrew 5,000 open positions as part of its “year of efficiency” strategy.
