In a recent Q2 earnings call, Meta Founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg revealed that India has emerged as the company’s largest market for artificial intelligence (AI) usage. Zuckerberg highlighted significant growth in user engagement and retention on WhatsApp, attributing this to India’s increasing adoption of Meta AI technologies.
Meta has expanded its AI capabilities with the introduction of Meta AI in seven new languages, including Hindi, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish. This multilingual support allows users to interact with Meta AI across WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, and Facebook. The company also plans to add more languages in the near future.
Following a robust second-quarter performance with a revenue of $39.1 billion—up 22% year-over-year—Zuckerberg emphasized that Meta AI is now accessible in over 20 countries and eight languages. In the United States, new features like Imagine Edit, which enables users to edit images generated by Meta AI, are being rolled out.
