Jeet Adani Inaugurates Mundra International Airport As Commercial Flights Begin

Jeet Adani, Director of Adani Airport Holdings Limited, inaugurated Mundra International Airport as it officially commenced commercial operations, marking a significant milestone for Gujarat’s aviation sector.

The launch of passenger flight services is expected to improve regional connectivity and unlock new opportunities for tourism and economic development.

The airport welcomed its first scheduled commercial flight, operated by Star Air, signalling the beginning of regular passenger services from Mundra.

Speaking at the inauguration, Jeet Adani emphasised the importance of enhancing air connectivity in the region. He noted that while nearby Bhuj has an airport, flight connectivity remains limited, making direct links between Mundra and major metropolitan cities particularly valuable.

According to him, better connectivity will encourage tourism and support broader development across the region.

Although precise projections remain difficult to estimate, Jeet Adani expressed confidence that direct air services would make a meaningful contribution to local growth.

Jeet Adani said improved access to Mundra could attract more visitors and create opportunities for businesses linked to tourism, hospitality, and related sectors.

Enhanced connectivity will facilitate business travel and strengthen commercial activity across the region.

Jeet Adani said the airport will act as a key catalyst for development by connecting Mundra more closely with major destinations across India.

Star Air has launched the airport’s first commercial services. Jeet Adani said additional airlines are likely to begin operations as passenger demand increases.

Mundra International Airport’s commercial launch will strengthen Gujarat’s transport infrastructure, improve accessibility, and also drive long-term economic growth through better connectivity.
