The Ministry of Home Affairs unveiled the initiative, which aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s proposal during the G20 Summit in September 2024.
The G20 Talent Visa is for individuals engaged in post-doctoral research and specialized training programs.
Its purpose is to foster innovation and cross-border collaboration in science and academia. The University Grants Commission (UGC) promotes the visa among higher education institutions across the country to increase awareness and participation.
