Gautam Adani Inaugurates Vocational Training & Cloud Kitchen In Dhanbad

Adani Group Chairman and Founder Gautam Adani inaugurated two major social welfare initiatives in Dhanbad, vocational training for differently abled children and a cloud kitchen, during his visit to Jharkhand on the occasion of the centenary celebrations of the Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines) Dhanbad.

During the trip, Gautam Adani visited Pehla Kadam, a school for differently abled children run under the Narayani Charitable Trust.

The visit marked a significant moment for the institution, which works tirelessly to empower children with disabilities through early intervention, specialised education, and life skills training.

Adani inaugurated a new vocational training programme in food and beverage services for differently abled students.

The initiative aims to equip the children with employable skills, enhance their confidence, and help integrate them into the mainstream workforce.

Anita Aggarwal, Director of Pehla Kadam, expressed her admiration for the industrialist’s compassion and involvement. She highlighted that Adani personally interacted with every child and demonstrated genuine warmth during the visit.

Aggarwal shared that the Adani Group Chairman pledged ₹1 crore per year for three years to support the school’s operations, facilities, and welfare programmes.

Calling the gesture a ‘big achievement’, she said the contribution would significantly boost the institution’s ability to provide specialised care and vocational opportunities.

Alongside the vocational training centre, Adani inaugurated a cloud kitchen that will serve as both a training ground and a revenue model to support the school’s long-term sustainability.

The kitchen is expected to provide hands-on learning while generating income for developmental activities.

Address at IIT Dhanbad Centenary Celebrations

Earlier in the day, during the centenary celebrations at IIT Dhanbad, Gautam Adani delivered an inspiring address to students. He urged them to see themselves as ‘Bharat’s next generation of freedom fighters’, contributing to the nation’s journey towards economic and resource independence.

“You are not just extracting resources; you are extracting sovereignty. You are not just mining minerals; you are mining dignity,” he said, encouraging students to pursue innovation, dream boldly, and support India’s aspirations for self-reliance.

Adani emphasised the importance of nurturing ‘custodians of the core’, young innovators who will build India’s sovereign capabilities across sectors. His visit to Pehla Kadam and his commitment to social welfare underscore the role of corporate leaders in fostering inclusive development.

Through these initiatives, Gautam Adani reaffirmed his belief in empowering marginalised communities and strengthening India’s social and economic fabric.
