Fuel Update: Diesel Petrol Rates For The Day

Fuel Update: Today’s Petrol and Diesel Prices in Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Mumbai, and Hyderabad.

Prices for gasoline and diesel remained the same on December 9 of 2022 and have been stable for the past six months.

On May 21 of this year, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman reduced the excise duty on gasoline by Rs 8 per litre and on diesel by Rs 6 per litre across the whole country. Petrol costs Rs 106.31 per litre in Mumbai, while diesel costs Rs 94.27. Delhi’s per-litre prices for gasoline and diesel are Rs 96.72 and Rs 89.62, respectively.

Every day at six o’clock, any adjustments to the price of gasoline and diesel go into effect. State-by-state variations in the cost of gasoline and diesel can be attributed to factors like Value Added Tax (VAT), freight costs, municipal taxes, etc.

The daily price revisions made by public sector OMCs like Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL), Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL), and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) are in accordance with foreign exchange rates and international benchmark prices.
