Emirates Resumes Flights After Temporary Suspension At Dubai Airport

Air carrier Emirates on Saturday announced the resumption of flight services after briefly suspending operations at Dubai International Airport due to safety concerns.

The airline confirmed the update through a message shared on the social media platform X.

According to the airline, travellers holding confirmed reservations on flights scheduled later in the day may now proceed to the airport.

The advisory also applies to passengers transiting through Dubai, provided their onward connections are operating according to schedule.

Emirates clarified that an earlier message posted at 11:08 AM Dubai time regarding the suspension of operations is no longer valid. The airline removed the post to prevent confusion among travellers.

Officials explained that the previous advisory had instructed passengers not to travel to the airport while services remained halted.

Following operational assessments, the airline restored services and informed customers that flights would gradually return to normal schedules.

Emirates urged travellers to verify flight status and seat availability through official platforms before departing for the airport.

The airline emphasised that such verification will help passengers confirm whether their flight is operating as planned. It also allows travellers to avoid inconvenience caused by possible schedule adjustments.

Emirates further stated that its operational teams are closely observing the evolving situation.

The airline indicated that further modifications to the flight schedule could occur if circumstances require.

In its communication, the carrier thanked customers for their patience and cooperation during the temporary disruption.

The airline reiterated that passenger and crew safety remains its foremost priority.

Earlier in the day, Emirates had suspended all flights to and from Dubai International Airport until further notice. During that period, the airline advised travellers to postpone travel to the airport and await additional updates.

Once the situation stabilised, the airline withdrew the advisory and resumed normal flight operations.

Officials stressed that the decision to suspend services temporarily was taken solely to ensure safety.

By restoring services later the same day, Emirates sought to minimise disruption for passengers travelling through one of the world’s busiest aviation hubs.
