CareEdge has upgraded Adani Enterprises Limited’s long-term rating to CARE AA with a Stable outlook. It reaffirmed the company’s short-term rating at CARE A1+.

The upgrade reflects AEL’s stronger financial profile and improving earnings visibility. It marks the highest rating achieved by Adani Enterprises from CareEdge.

The agency said the assessment independently validates AEL’s incubation model across airports, renewables, roads, mining and infrastructure.

CareEdge said AEL’s decade-long incubation strategy continues to mature.

Several businesses are shifting from investment and ramp-up stages towards stronger operating cash flow and profitability.

The agency highlighted AEL’s disciplined capital allocation and financial management. It cited the company’s ability to raise equity, attract strategic investors and retain funding access while pursuing large-scale expansion.

The upgrade follows AEL’s Rs 15,000 crore QIP completed in July 2026 and a transaction bringing investors into Adani Airports Holdings.

The deal valued the airport business at around Rs 1.67 lakh crore pre-money.

CareEdge said these moves have significantly improved AEL’s financial flexibility.

The stronger balance sheet supports AEL’s planned Rs 1.33 lakh crore capital expenditure across airports, roads, PVC, green hydrogen and other infrastructure businesses during FY27-FY29.

CareEdge expects earnings to improve from FY27, supported by Kutch Copper’s ramp-up, higher non-aeronautical airport revenue, Navi Mumbai International Airport’s scaling and expansion of solar module and cell capacity to 10 GW.

The agency said legal and regulatory concerns have moderated. It expects the U.S. legal overhang to have no material direct impact on financial flexibility or capital expenditure.

AEL reported FY26 operating income of Rs 1.02 lakh crore and operating profit of Rs 15,899 crore.

Q1 FY27 operating profit rose to Rs 5,019 crore from Rs 3,310 crore.
