Thank you Mr.Ratan Tata for choosing India as your birth country. Thank you for being the person you are. Wishing you a very healthy and happy birthday and may you always keep stealing our hearts!

Chairman Emeritus, Tata Sons and Tata Group, Ratan Tata.

Chairman Emeritus, Tata Sons and Tata Group, Ratan Tata.

Tata Group: Ratan Naval Tata, is an inspiring leader, humanitarian, visionary and daring industrialist and former chairman of the respectable Tata Group.

The Tata Group has always held the belief that “What’s good for India, is good for the Tatas”.

During his lifetime Ratan Tata has also held the same values high and even taken it to newer heights.  While serving as the chairman of the Tata Group from 1990 to 2012,and  also as interim chairman from October 2016 to February 2017 Ratan Tata brought much glory to both Tata Sons and the nation.

As of now he is still heading the charitable trusts under Tata Trusts, something he is deeply passionate about.

People have huge respect and love for the Padma Vibhushan and Padma Bhushan awardee. In fact such is the love for this philanthropist that an internet trend had once started asking for Ratan Tata to be given the Bharat Ratna. Not just that a petition for the same was even filed in the court.

Here’s wishing Sir a very happy birthday! We take this opportunity to pay respect to this wonderful humanitarian.

10 times Ratan Tata took our hearts away, inspired us and showed us how to be a better person even when you are a leading man.

Lessons in Hard Work vs Nepotism

He worked his way up even though he was part of the Tata family, through adoption. He started as a blue collar employee on the shop floor of his own company. Proving that he was not entitled through familial ties. A true poster boy for hard work.

A Truly Great Person

On reaching a million followers on instagram. Ratan Tata posted an adorable picture and the internet was admiring him lovingly. One person called him ‘Chhotu’ and for this she was criticised by all in the comments. Ratan Tata defended her with this remark “There is a child in all of us. Please treat this young lady with respect.”

We are all heart Ratan Sir!

Mutual Respect

Narayan Murthy and Sudha Murthy are both great fans of Sir Ratan Tata . The former touched his feet when felicitating him with the Lifetime Award at TieCon Mumbai in 2020. Ratan Tata expressed his heartfelt gratitude and got all teary eyed. The man is the personification of humility.

Simple Living And High Thinking

When he was the Chairman of the Tata Group he was still living in a modest old Parsi style 3 Bhk house.

It was only after retirement after the age of 75 that he started to live in a bigger accommodation.

Creating A lovable Online Community

On his debut on Instagram Sir Ratan posted on social media “I don’t know about breaking the internet, but I am so excited to join all of you on Instagram! After a long absence from public life, I look forward to exchanging stories and creating something special with such a diverse community!”

Ratan Tata may not have broken the internet but he surely has stolen our hearts with the warmth with which he has connected with the general public. His love for the common people is so apparent and wonderful to see.

Turning failures Into Success

In 1998 Tata Motors under Ratan Tata built and designed India’s first completely indigenous car, Tata Indica.

In 1999, he decided to approach Ford motors for the same. The experience was less than pleasant and the Indian industrialist was humiliated by Ford.

He decided not to sell this production unit.

After 9 years, in 2008,when ford went bankrupt.

Tata offered to buy Jaguar and Landrover for the full amount of the $2.3 billion cash deal.

Ford said that Tata did a favour for Ford by buying JLR!

Currently there is talk of the ultra-economy segment car Nano being brought out in the electric version and it has created a lot of buzz. More power to Ratan Tata and Tata Motors!

Humanity In The Times Of A crisis

During the pandemic he pledged Rs.500 crores for frontline workers. He even urged companies to not lay off people during this time of crisis.

Voice Of The Voiceless Animals

Ratan Tata’s love for animals is known to all.

He had even taken to social media expressed his shock over the killing of a pregnant elephant.

He has even urged people to adopt stray dogs and has  given a portion of the renovated Bombay House, the global headquarters of Tata Group to be used as a kennel for stray dogs.

The most heartwarming is the beautiful relationship shared between him and Goa, the black and white stray dog that shares Ratan office space with him.

Simplicity Even At The Top

He flew economy class on the inaugural Goa flight of Air Asia in 2014. Thus, setting an example to those who like to flaunt their riches.

Humanity Over Royalty

In 2018, Prince Charles wanted to give industrialist Ratan Tata a lifetime achievement award for philanthropy. But Tata couldn’t make it to the event. The reason was one of his pet dogs had suddenly fallen ill when he was to leave the country. Columnist Suhel Seth, has mentioned in a video interaction online that Tata said “I can’t leave him and come”.

As told by Suhel Seth, this even got him the appreciation of Prince Charles who went on to say, that’s the kind of man Mr.Ratan Tata is and that’s why the House of Tata is on stable course.

Thank you Mr.Ratan Tata for choosing India as your birth country. Thank you for being the person you are.

Wishing you a very healthy and happy birthday and may you always keep stealing our hearts!
