After Sam Altman was fired from the tech company, Ashneer Grover (left) gave him advise. Altman was the former CEO of OpenAI.
Ashneer Grover, a former managing director of BharatPe and co-founder, expressed support for Sam Altman following his dismissal as CEO of OpenAI, the company that makes ChatGPT. Grover gave Altman some advice to “fight on” after the Microsoft-backed company lost faith in him. Ashneer Grover, referencing Altman’s abrupt departure from digital payment firm BharatPe, sent a response on the social media platform X, asking the former CEO of OpenAI to keep up his “fight” for the truth and mentioning that he was going through a similar situation in India.
After losing his #1 spot on Twitter, Altman posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, saying, “If I start going off, the OpenAI board should go after me for the full value of my shares.” Grover wrote, “Dude, keep fighting,” in response to Altman’s message. After the Board attempted to pursue my shares and was unsuccessful, they are now pursuing criminal charges against my family and me. It’s a protracted battle! Alongside you!!”

The former MD of BharatPe added, “Sam – In India, I am experiencing the same problems. They target your role and shares first, and then they target you directly. It’s a protracted battle! Continue on! These days, it’s a model for startup boards and investors everywhere—all ego, no brains. People can be discerned enough to know better.”
Why did OpenAI fire Sam Altman?
After expressing a lack of confidence in his ability to lead the company, ChatGPT creator Sam Altman was removed from his position as CEO of OpenAI. The board of OpenAI announced in an official statement that Altman’s termination “follows a deliberative review process.”
Altman was “not consistently candid in his communications with the board, hindering its ability to exercise its responsibilities,” according to the board of the company. Ashneer Grover met a similar end when BharatPe’s board members accused him and his wife of embezzling company assets, forcing the businessman to resign from office following a criminal prosecution involving financial fraud.
