Madhuri Jain Grover and Ashneer Grover are wed.
Ashneer Grover, a co-founder of BharatPe, declared on Friday that he poses no flight risk. He made this comment when the Economic Offenses Wing (EOW) of the Delhi Police prevented him from leaving the nation. Grover was detained at the Indira Gandhi International Airport’s Terminal 3 along with his spouse, Madhuri Jain. The EOW released a lookout circular (LoC) about the BharatPe suspected fraud case earlier this week.
Grover, who also made an appearance as an investor in Shark Tank India season 1, stated, “I found it strange as I have traveled four times internationally since FIR filed in May – never been a problem and I had not even been summoned once.” He said that he only received a lookout notice on Friday morning. My planned stay in the US was from November 16 to November 23. I was made aware of the existence of a LoC during immigration,” he stated in the X post.

“No big deal. He declared, “I am not a flight risk; it is easy to prove that there is a process to remove the LoC. I will fully cooperate with the investigation.”

The Grover couple was stopped at the airport; why?
According to joint commissioner of police (EOW) Sindhu Pillai, the couple was detained prior to a security check while traveling to New York. She said, “They were asked to go back to their house in Delhi and join the investigation at the EoW office at Mandir Marg next week.”
Recruitment agencies connected to Ashneer Grover were allegedly caught utilizing backdated invoices as a means of fund diversion during the EOW inquiry. Grover and his family were accused by BharatPe of a ₹81.28 crore fraud in December 2022, which included the purported payment of ₹7.6 crore to HR consultants between 2018 and 2021.
