Under the CSR programme of Adani Power, the Adani Foundation partnered with HelpAge to organise 30 special free health camps. These camps covered 30 villages across the Mirzapur district.
These camps delivered much-needed healthcare support to thousands of families living in rural and underserved areas.
The initiative focused on providing quality medical services at the doorstep of villagers. Each health camp deployed a team of five specialist doctors.
The team included a gynaecologist, an orthopaedic specialist, an ophthalmologist, a paediatrician, and a general physician. The doctors offered free medical consultations and guidance to patients of all age groups.
Along with clinical consultations, the camps provided essential diagnostic services.
Villagers received free blood sugar tests, haemoglobin tests, and blood group examinations. These services helped in early detection of health issues and reduced the financial burden on poor families who often lack access to basic diagnostics.
Through these 30 health camps, the medical teams conducted a total of 9,648 OPD consultations.
The beneficiaries included 4,284 men and 5,358 women. A large number of women and elderly residents actively participated, highlighting the urgent need for such healthcare interventions in rural regions.
Strong Community Response and Appreciation
The camps generated strong enthusiasm among villagers. Long queues formed at each location from early morning hours.
People expressed deep appreciation for the efforts of Adani Power, the Adani Foundation, and HelpAge.
Many villagers stated that these camps not only provided treatment but also improved awareness about health and preventive care among poor and marginalised communities.
Residents also acknowledged that Adani Power goes beyond industrial development and fulfils its social responsibilities with commitment. They said the Adani Foundation acts as a lifeline for backward areas.
It actively works to strengthen healthcare, education, sanitation, and livelihood development.
At the conclusion of the programme, villagers extended heartfelt thanks to the Adani Foundation, HelpAge, all participating doctors, and support staff.
Social workers expressed hope that the Adani Foundation will continue to organise such health camps in the Mirzapur region under its CSR initiatives.
They emphasised that sustained efforts like these can ensure equitable access to healthcare for the last person in society.
