Adani Navbharat Developers Private Limited (ANDPL), the special purpose vehicle leading the Dharavi Redevelopment Project (DRP), on Tuesday launched ‘Dharavi Didi’, a 24×7 AI-powered interactive platform to provide residents with official and verified information related to the redevelopment project.
The initiative aims to address residents’ growing need for reliable information as the redevelopment gathers pace.
Many residents have sought clarity on issues such as survey status, rehabilitation eligibility, required documents and timelines for receiving new homes, often relying on informal sources that have led to confusion and misinformation.
Accessible through video calls, voice calls, and WhatsApp, Dharavi Didi provides instant responses in Hindi, Marathi, and English.
According to ANDPL, support for Tamil, Telugu and Gujarati will be introduced in the coming months to serve Dharavi’s diverse communities.
The company said the AI platform complements its ongoing Information, Education and Communication (IEC) outreach programmes by extending official assistance beyond field visits and office hours, enabling residents to access verified project-related information at any time.
According to ANDPL, Dharavi Didi features a simple interface designed to ensure ease of use, including for first-time digital users.
The platform is to help residents understand every stage of the redevelopment process and make informed decisions based on authentic information.
The company said the initiative seeks to provide direct access to verified information, enhance transparency and build confidence among residents throughout the redevelopment journey.
ANDPL added that the name ‘Dharavi Didi’ reflects the platform’s intended role as a trusted guide, offering support and clear guidance to residents as they navigate one of the country’s largest urban redevelopment projects.
