The Adani Group unveiled a USD 66 billion investment strategy for Maharashtra, spanning aviation, clean energy, urban infrastructure, digital platforms, and advanced manufacturing.
The plan reflects a long-term partnership with the state to drive infrastructure-led growth and economic development while creating sustainable employment opportunities and enhancing the overall investment climate.
Key initiatives include the redevelopment of Dharavi, India’s largest informal settlement, which is set to be transformed into a planned, economically vibrant district.
The Group is also focusing on Navi Mumbai as a major growth hub, led by the newly operational Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA), designed to expand aviation capacity for the Mumbai metropolitan region while stimulating logistics, hospitality, and commercial development.
Pranav Adani, Director of Adani Enterprises, said the Adani Group will roll out the proposed investments over the next seven to ten years across multiple sectors.
Projects include green, integrated data centre parks with a combined capacity of 3,000 MW, coal gasification facilities, pumped-storage hydropower projects totalling 8,700 MW, and proposed semiconductor and display fabrication units aligned with evolving government frameworks for private participation.
The plan places a strong emphasis on ecosystem building, integration, and sustainability, aiming to position Maharashtra as a hub for innovation, technology, and advanced manufacturing.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis welcomed the investments, highlighting their potential to generate jobs for the state’s youth and drive economic growth.
The Adani Group’s presentation at the World Economic Forum 2026 further underscores its focus on aligning private capital with India’s global economic ambitions.
By integrating large-scale infrastructure development, energy transition, and manufacturing self-reliance with next-generation platforms, the Group seeks to transform Maharashtra’s urban and industrial landscape, creating a model of sustainable growth and modern infrastructure for the future.
