Adani Green Q1 Results: EBITDA Hits Record As Capacity Crosses 20 GW

Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) reported a strong financial performance for the first quarter of FY27, with its operational renewable energy capacity rising 27 per cent year-on-year to 20.1 GW.

The expansion helped the company achieve its highest-ever quarterly EBITDA of ₹4,122 crore, supported by higher energy sales and growing electricity demand.

According to the company’s stock exchange filing, operational renewable energy capacity increased to 20,142 MW during the April-June quarter.

AGEL added 848 MW of new renewable capacity during the quarter, while its total greenfield capacity additions over the past year reached 4,327 MW.

Revenue from power supply rose 29 per cent year-on-year to ₹4,280 crore, while EBITDA from power supply increased 33 per cent to a record ₹4,122 crore.

The company’s EBITDA margin improved to an industry-leading 94 per cent from 93 per cent a year earlier. Cash profit also grew 28 per cent to ₹2,225 crore during the quarter.

Energy sales climbed 30 per cent year-on-year to 13,657 million units, driven by higher operational capacity and improving power demand across the country.

AGEL Chief Executive Officer Ashish Khanna said the company started FY27 on a strong note by crossing 20 GW of operational renewable energy capacity. He said rising power demand and AGEL’s expanding renewable portfolio supported industry-leading performance, while investments in energy storage and pumped hydro projects would strengthen India’s clean energy transition and long-term energy security.
