Adani Green Energy Ltd (AGEL), the renewable arm of the Adani Group, reported strong financial and operational growth for the first half of FY26, posting a 26% year-on-year revenue rise to ₹6,088 crore.
The company’s energy sales jumped 39% to 19,569 million units between April and September, supported by continuous capacity expansion and efficiency improvements.
As of 30 September 2025, AGEL’s operational renewable energy capacity stood at 16.7 GW, maintaining its position as India’s largest clean energy producer.
The company’s EBITDA for the first half reached ₹5,651 crore, reflecting a 25% year-on-year increase and surpassing its total annual EBITDA for FY23.
CEO Highlights Progress Towards 50 GW Target
“Having already added 2.4 GW renewable capacity in H1 FY26, we are firmly on track to achieve 5 GW additions in FY26 and reach 50 GW by 2030,” said Ashish Khanna, CEO of Adani Green Energy.
He added that the company’s flagship 30 GW renewable energy project in Khavda, Gujarat, is progressing steadily and will play a transformative role in India’s green energy landscape.
AGEL produced 19.6 billion units of clean power in the period — enough to power an entire country the size of Croatia for a year.
Khanna emphasised the company’s commitment to technological innovation and sustainability.
“We are consistently adopting advanced renewable technologies and digitalising more aspects of our operations to enhance efficiency, project execution, and safety,” he noted.
He further stated that global recognition for AGEL’s ESG initiatives demonstrates its commitment to sustainable growth and leadership in India’s clean energy transition.
During H1 FY26, AGEL added 2,437 MW of new greenfield capacity — 74% of its entire FY25 additions.
Also, over the past year, the company added 5,496 MW, comprising 4,200 MW of solar capacity (2,900 MW in Khavda, 1,050 MW in Rajasthan, and 250 MW in Andhra Pradesh), 491 MW of wind capacity, and 805 MW of hybrid capacity in Khavda.
This expansion was backed by Adani Infra India Ltd (AIIL), which supports project management, engineering, and supply chain operations for AGEL’s renewable ventures.
The Khavda Mega Project
The centrepiece of AGEL’s growth is the 30 GW renewable energy park at Khavda in Gujarat, spanning 538 square kilometres — nearly five times the size of Paris.
Once completed, it will be among the largest renewable energy facilities in the world, contributing significantly to India’s clean energy capacity and employment generation.
With a 49% year-on-year increase in operational capacity and rapid progress in its flagship projects, Adani Green Energy remains on track to meet its 2030 target.
Moreover, the company’s strategic focus on innovation, sustainability, and capacity expansion underscores its leadership in driving India’s renewable energy revolution.
