Adani Greens comes up with cashback redemption plan
Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) announced on Friday that it has commissioned a 212.50 megawatt (MW) solar power project in Khavda, Gujarat.
The project was developed through its wholly-owned stepdown subsidiary, Adani Renewable Energy Fifty Seven Limited.
With this new project, Adani Green’s total operational renewable energy capacity has now reached 13,700.3 MW.
Last month, AGEL became the first renewable energy company in India to surpass 12,000 MW of operational capacity.
The company is also developing the world’s largest renewable energy plant in Khavda, Gujarat, with a planned 30,000 MW capacity.
Spread over 538 square kilometers, the project is as large as Mumbai and five times the size of Paris. Once completed, it will be the world’s largest power plant across all energy sources.
In addition to the Gujarat project, Adani Green announced another major development. Its wholly-owned subsidiary, Adani Renewable Energy Holding Twelve Limited, received a Letter of Award (LOA) from Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL).
The company will supply 400 MW of solar power from Rajasthan at a tariff of ₹2.57 per unit for 25 years.
AGEL clarified that neither its promoters nor its promoter group have any interest in UPPCL.
Adani Green stated that these achievements reinforce its leadership in India’s renewable energy sector and contribute significantly to the nation’s growing solar power capacity.
