The Adani Foundation, the CSR arm of the Adani Group, has announced a partnership with the Datta Meghe Institute of Higher Education and Research (DMIHER) to develop it into a global Centre of Excellence (CoE) in affordable healthcare education and delivery. The collaboration aims to combine academic innovation, clinical research, and community care to create a scalable model of inclusive healthcare and education.
Inspired by Chairman Gautam Adani’s philosophy, “Seva hi Sadhana hai” (Service is Worship), the initiative underscores the group’s commitment to quality healthcare and education as a cornerstone of nation-building.
Dr Priti Adani, Chairperson of the Adani Foundation, stated, “This collaboration with DMIHER reflects our belief that access to quality healthcare and education is a fundamental right — not a privilege. We are proud to support the creation of a Centre of Excellence that will combine academic innovation, clinical research and community care.”
Strengthening and community impact
The partnership with DMIHER will expand the institution’s reach across research, education, and healthcare delivery. Currently, DMIHER runs 15 institutes and five teaching hospitals, offering 217 academic programmes in 13 disciplines, including super-specialty and doctoral courses.
Datta Meghe, Founder of DMIHER, expressed pride in the collaboration, calling it a key milestone in building a self-reliant health and education ecosystem. “This alliance reflects our shared commitment to inclusive and sustainable progress, and strengthens our resolve for a ‘Viksit Bharat’ by 2047,” he said.
Advancing the ‘Temple of Healthcare’ concept
The initiative aligns with the Adani Group’s “Temple of Healthcare” vision, which reimagines healthcare centres as institutions built on service, dignity, and compassion.
The Adani Foundation, since its inception in 1996, has been actively involved in social development. It currently operates in 7,060 villages across 21 Indian states, impacting over 9.6 million lives through programmes in education, health and nutrition, climate action, livelihoods, and community development.
This collaboration with DMIHER marks another step in the Foundation’s mission to build a healthy and educated India by making affordable healthcare a reality for all.
