Adani Foundation is expanding its social development initiatives across several districts of Uttar Pradesh, including Mirzapur, Sonbhadra, Kanpur, Varanasi and Amethi, by implementing programmes focused on education, healthcare, women’s empowerment, livelihood generation, skill development and community welfare.
Through need-based interventions, the Foundation is improving the quality of life for thousands of families while supporting sustainable and inclusive development.
In Mirzapur and Sonbhadra, where several energy projects operate, the Foundation is promoting rural development through education initiatives, healthcare camps, women’s self-help groups and youth skill development programmes. It is also supporting livelihood opportunities to help rural communities become more self-reliant and economically resilient.
In Kanpur, the Foundation has launched a specialised programme to provide treatment and rehabilitation for children affected by clubfoot.
The initiative aims to ensure timely medical intervention, improve mobility and enhance the quality of life for children while giving them greater opportunities for a healthy future.
The Foundation is also implementing a range of community development programmes in Varanasi, covering education, healthcare, sanitation, public awareness and women’s empowerment. It is working with local institutions and community organisations to strengthen social participation and promote long-term, sustainable development across the region.
In Amethi, Adani Foundation is focusing on rural development, skill training, women’s empowerment and employment-oriented programmes for young people. It is strengthening self-help groups and community-based organisations to improve livelihoods and support local economic growth.
The Foundation says its mission extends beyond fulfilling corporate social responsibility obligations.
The Foundation aims to build self-reliant communities through locally tailored development programmes.
It operates across more than 19 states and Union Territories, supporting education, healthcare, livelihoods, women’s empowerment, skill development and environmental sustainability while promoting inclusive growth.
