The Adani Foundation commemorated the 64th birthday of Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani with a nationwide blood donation campaign. The initiative brought together thousands of donors in a remarkable display of service and compassion.
Held on June 24, the initiative covered more than 754 cities, towns and villages. It spanned 21 states, five Union Territories and four international locations.
The campaign collected 52,306 units of blood, surpassing last year’s collection of 28,090 units.
The Adani Foundation partnered with over 764 blood banks to conduct the drive.
More than 6,000 volunteers, including doctors, paramedics, administrative staff and data operators, ensured smooth and safe execution of the programme.
Led by the Adani Healthcare team, the campaign reflected Gautam Adani’s guiding principle of ‘Seva Hi Sadhana Hai’ or service as worship.
The initiative transformed individual contributions into a large-scale humanitarian effort to support patients in critical need.
The collected blood, amounting to nearly 23,538 litres, will likely benefit more than 1,56,918 patients.
Medical teams will utilise vital blood components such as Whole Blood, Packed Cell Volume, Platelet Concentrates and Plasma for emergency treatment and surgeries. They will also use Fresh Frozen Plasma, Cryoprecipitate and Albumin for cancer care, maternal healthcare and chronic disease management.
“For Gautam’s 64th birthday, his belief of “Seva Hi Saadhna Hai” was beautifully brought to life through a mega blood donation drive made possible by the Adani Parivaar. 52,306 units of blood. 6000+ volunteers. 750+ locations in India and overseas,” Dr Priti Adani posted.
The post further read, “My deepest gratitude to every Adanian and medical professional who rolled up their sleeves 🙏 Your act of service will give hope and strength to more than 1,56,900 patients and their families.”

The Adani Foundation launched the initiative in 2011 with just over 1,300 donated units. Since then, it has grown into one of India’s largest voluntary blood donation campaigns.
The initiative also reflects the Foundation’s commitment to sustainable social development and community welfare.
