Adani Electricity carried out a garment donation campaign to provide essential clothing to underprivileged families living within its power distribution network.
More than 2,500 employees responded to the company’s call to donate wearable clothes for those in need.
Employees actively supported the campaign by contributing a large number of garments.
The collected clothing was distributed among residents of several communities and padas (settlements), including Moracha Pada in Goregaon’s Aarey Colony, where members of the Adani Electricity team personally handed over the donations.
Through this employee-driven initiative, Adani Electricity reaffirmed its commitment to community welfare and corporate social responsibility.
The programme sought to improve the lives of economically weaker sections while encouraging greater employee involvement in meaningful social initiatives.
In addition to its community outreach programme, Adani Electricity has intensified its preparations for the monsoon season to minimise service disruptions for its 3.15 million consumers across Mumbai.
The company has operationalised its Central Disaster Control Centre (CDCC), which will function 24 hours a day to coordinate emergency operations and ensure swift action whenever weather-related incidents occur.
Adani Electricity has deployed seven specialised Quick Response Teams across its distribution network to restore electricity services swiftly during emergencies.
The company has equipped these teams with detailed contingency plans designed to tackle monsoon-related situations effectively.
To strengthen flood preparedness, Adani Electricity has installed and integrated 98 advanced water-level sensors into its Advanced Distribution Management System at vulnerable locations.
The company has upgraded communication capabilities through satellite-based systems, walkie-talkies and remote devices to maintain seamless coordination.
Adani Electricity completed comprehensive pre-monsoon maintenance across its distribution network.
The company raised electrical infrastructure in flood-prone areas above expected water levels and strategically deployed emergency equipment, backup generators and response vehicles to restore power quickly whenever required.
