Adani Airports Holdings Ltd (AAHL) has introduced ‘aviio’, a digital platform that will provide real-time data on passenger movement, baggage flow, wait times, and other key information. The platform aims to streamline operations and enhance passenger experiences across the seven airports operated by Adani in India.
Aviio will offer real-time updates on security checks, gate changes, and baggage status, providing passengers and airport staff easier access to critical information.
The platform will initially be deployed at seven Adani-operated airports, including Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, Ahmedabad’s Sardar Vallabbhai Patel International Airport, and Lucknow’s Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport. Other airports include Mangaluru, Jaipur, Guwahati, and Thiruvananthapuram.
Aviio will allow airport operators, security personnel, airlines, and ground staff to access real-time data on passenger and baggage flow. AAHL aims to improve collaboration among stakeholders through this initiative, leading to smoother operations and better service.
Aviio is part of AAHL’s larger strategy to set new standards for airport operations. The platform supports the development of a next-generation Airport Planning and Operation Centre (APOC), featuring advanced tools for data-driven decisions. With 10x more features than existing systems, aviio will improve capacity planning, operational efficiency, and real-time resource management.
Adani plans to use the app for its employees and other partners, including airlines, ground handlers, and retail operators. CISF personnel, who manage airport security, will also have access to the app for improved coordination.
AAHL’s CEO, Arun Bansal, emphasized that aviio will transform passenger journeys by making airports more efficient. The platform will help AAHL enhance its operational capabilities, particularly as it expands with an eighth airport set to open in 2025.
The app is part of AAHL’s broader digital transformation strategy, which includes investments in artificial intelligence, IoT, robotics, and digital twins. These technologies aim to create a next-generation airport ecosystem that is both efficient and customer-focused.
Through digitalization, AAHL seeks to gain a competitive edge and deliver seamless passenger experiences as it continues to grow its airport portfolio.
