On Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal’s allegations that BJP contacted 7 AAP MLAs, BJP MP Parvesh Verma says, “We have asked the Commissioner to make a special investigation team and ask their (AAP) people who tried to buy them, how they were contacted. Our demand is that the whole truth should be out.”

On Chandigarh mayor election, Delhi minister & AAP leader Saurabh Bhardwaj says, “This is robbery. In Chandigarh, there are 36 Councillor seats out of which 14 seats are BJPs & 13 seats are AAPs and 7 seats of Congress. Total AAP (13 + 7) has 20 seats. BJP has been exposed again.”

Jharkhand Governor CP Radhakrishnan called the Chief Secretary, Home Secretary and DGP to Raj Bhavan to have an over view of the current political and administrative situation in the state. The Governor is holding a meeting with the senior officials and taking cues on important aspects including law and order situation in the State.

After the all-party meeting, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi says, “45 leaders from 30 parties, including the ruling BJP, attended the meeting. The meeting was held in a conducive atmosphere. This is a short session and the last one of the 17th Lok Sabha. We have requested the MPs to not come with placards.”

AAP national convener and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal posts, “The kind of foul play that has been in Chandigarh Mayor Election in broad daylight, is a matter of concern. If they stoop to this level in a Mayor election, they can go to any level in the general election. This is very worrying.”

After an all-party meeting ahead of the interim Budget session, TMC MP Sudip Bandyopadhyay says, “We are keen to place our demands. We also raised the issue of suspension of 150 MPs but the attitude of the government is not to reply to any question.”

Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren arrived in Ranchi amid reports of his imminent arrest. Over 7,000 additional policemen are deployed across Jharkhand in view of the unfolding political situation.
