The Delhi HC has refused to stay the proceedings against Arvind Kejriwal in the money laundering case linked to the Delhi liquor policy scam. The court issued a notice to the ED and asked for a response

On Thursday, the SC reaffirmed that Yasin Malik is entitled to a fair trial in connection with the 1990 killing of IAF officers in Srinagar.

The Delhi High Court decision came in response to a plea challenging an arrest where reasons for detention were not communicated.

Arvind Kejriwal has requested a stay on the lower court proceedings. He has also challenged the trial court’s decision to take cognizance of the ED chargesheet against him.

On Wednesday, the Delhi High Court stayed the trial court proceedings against P Chidambaram in the Aircel-Maxis money laundering case.

Chidambaram’s lawyer argued that the special court ignored the mandatory approval from the concerned authority before prosecuting him, as he was a public servant at the time

The court also directed the government to establish a grievance redressal mechanism for bomb threats in schools. It stressed the need for an effective strategy to handle such situations

Chidambaram filed the plea to challenge the trial court’s order of October 26, 2024. The trial court had dismissed his request to clarify his right to inspect unrelied documents. He referred to a March 2021 order in the INX Media case
