Deepika Padukone
Supriya Shrinate, a Congress member, has strongly criticized social media users for their harsh trolling of actor Deepika Padukone. Deepika and her husband Ranveer Singh recently appeared on the debut episode of Karan Johar’s ‘Koffee With Karan’ Season 8, where they candidly discussed their relationship and Deepika’s past struggle with anxiety and depression. During the show, Deepika revealed that she wasn’t initially committed to Ranveer and had explored other relationships.
Supriya Shrinate commended Deepika as a “super achiever” for openly discussing her mental health struggles. She argued that by sharing her experiences, Deepika empowers others to confront the often stigmatized issue of mental health. Shrinate also praised Ranveer Singh for his support during Deepika’s difficult times.
What have we become?
A couple sits together on a talk show and talks about their relationship, their marriage, their courtship.
A young woman, who is a super achiever talks about her struggles with mental health – she actually emboldens many more to deal with this unspoken… pic.twitter.com/chn0dFTxDG

Shrinate strongly condemned the trolls who subjected Deepika to character assassination, vicious trolling, and vulgar memes. She questioned why people find it difficult to accept raw human emotions and emphasized the importance of acknowledging and discussing issues that society often avoids.
Karan Johar also weighed in on the hate directed at Deepika, stating that trolling serves no purpose and only breeds negativity. He highlighted that the success or failure of individuals is not influenced by trolling and urged people to be more compassionate and understanding.
This situation underscores the need for greater empathy and less judgment in online interactions, especially when individuals open up about their personal struggles and emotions.
