Noida Police Saved "Unexpected Hitchhiker"
The Uttar Pradesh Police posted a video on social media documenting a stunning rescue operation in which they successfully freed an 8-foot python, an “unexpected hitchhiker,” from a truck. In order to secure the python’s safe evacuation, the police used a rope-and-sack technique during the event in Noida, Uttar Pradesh.
The Python was removed from the vehicle and, in the video posted on X (formerly Twitter), can be seen using an unusual mode of transportation by coiling itself around a motorcycle. In order to protect the people and the snake, the police had to act quickly.
The situation was playfully described in the post’s description as “uncoiling an unexpected hitchhiker.” It emphasized Sub-Inspector Devendar Rathi’s and his team’s efforts in successfully recovering the python from the Noida Police.

The python can be seen in the following video coiling around the front of the truck and extending its body to the back.
Police officers can be seen tying a rope to the python and removing it from the truck as the video continues. However, it manages to get away and seize a nearby motorcycle.
The python is subsequently taken off the bike by the police using the same technique, and it is placed in a bag to be taken away.

Several congratulations messages from users were left for the police officers.
One of them praised the police, saying, “Great work, salute.”
