Infrastructure and Development Initiatives
During his visit to Gwalior, PM Modi laid the foundation stones for projects worth over Rs 19,000 crore. Notably, the Delhi-Vadodara Expressway, developed at a cost of approximately Rs. 11,895 crore, was dedicated to the nation. Additionally, he initiated five road projects worth over Rs 1880 crore.
Housing for All
PM Modi reiterated his commitment to providing housing for all. He marked the Grih Pravesh of over 2.2 lakh houses constructed under the Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana (PMAY) – Gramin, as well as houses built under PMAY – Urban at a cost of around Rs 140 crore.
Jal Jeevan Mission
Ensuring access to safe and adequate drinking water remains a priority for the government. PM Modi laid the foundation stone for Jal Jeevan Mission projects worth over Rs 1530 crore, set to benefit over 720 villages in Gwalior and Sheopur districts.
Healthcare and Education
In the realm of healthcare, the Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for nine health centers under the Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission, a project valued at over Rs 150 crore. He also dedicated the academic building of IIT Indore and initiated projects for hostels and other buildings on the campus.
