Vishal, who plays Mark Antony, has said that he paid a bribe of 6.5 lakh rupees to the Central Board of Film Certification to obtain a censor certificate before the release of the Hindi version of the movie. He added that he had all the evidence to support his accusations. With positive reviews, Mark Antony debuted on September 15; the Hindi version followed on September 28.

Vishal clarified at the beginning of the video that it was not intended to be a promotional piece, but it was undoubtedly about his new movie, Mark Antony. Then he clarified that he was talking about a scam and noted that it was a terrible development. Vishal remarked, “We applied for a certificate online, and we had to come in at the last minute due to some technical issues,” speaking to the chief minister of Maharashtra, Eknath Shinde, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. But what transpired at the CBFC office in Mumbai shocked us. We were given the choice to pay the fee of 6.5 lakh and receive the certification the same day when my person visited the office. There was nothing left for us to do.

We were required to pay 3 lakh for the CBFC screening and a further 3.5 lakh to receive the certificate, he continued. He continued by naming the claimed transaction’s maker, a lady. Additionally, he stated that the woman informed him that it was customary for people to pay Rs. 4 lakh when submitting films 15 days before the scheduled release date.
