West Bengal News: An unusual incident occurred at the Calcutta High Court in West Bengal. Justice Joy Sengupta of the High Court delivered a verdict in a case that the disputed land’s Shivalinga should be removed. However, while recording the order to remove the Shivalinga, the Assistant Registrar suddenly fainted. Witnessing his unfortunate condition, the judge also changed his decision.

This incident has sparked a discussion on social media. It is reported that the Assistant Registrar who fainted has been admitted to the court’s health center. Some people present in the court premises have speculated about the reasons for the Assistant Registrar’s fainting. Some have even attributed it to the influence of the Shivalinga. According to a news channel’s report, there has been a longstanding dispute between Sudip Pal of Khidirpur, Murshidabad, and Govind Mandal over a piece of land.

Long-Running Land Dispute between Two Factions of the Hindu Community

Efforts have been made several times to resolve the land dispute, but last year in May, the dispute escalated to physical altercation. Allegedly, Govind established a Shivalinga on the disputed land overnight, leading to tension when the other party saw it. Sudip Pal, on the other side, filed a complaint about the matter. The police assured an investigation into the matter. However, the police could not resolve the dispute between the two factions.

Chatterjee Tells Judge: Shivalinga Emerged from the Ground Itself

Petitioner Sudip Pal then approached the Calcutta High Court. Sudip’s lawyer Tarunjyoti Tiwari told the court that Govind knowingly installed the Shivalinga on the disputed land. Additionally, no action was taken by the police. Therefore, we have come before the High Court seeking justice. On the other hand, Govind’s lawyer Mritunjay Chattopadhyay told the judge, “My client did not install the Shivalinga; the Shivalinga emerged from the ground itself.”

Assistant Registrar Vishwanath Roy Suddenly Faints

After hearing arguments from both sides in the High Court, Justice Joy Sengupta ordered the removal of the Shivalinga from the ground. While recording Justice Joy’s decision, Assistant Registrar Vishwanath Roy suddenly fainted and collapsed. Due to this incident, Registrar was taken to the High Court’s health center. Meanwhile, the judge also left the courtroom. Later, when he returned, he stated that the court would not intervene in this matter.
