No Confidence Motion Live: Shiv Sena MP Shrikant Shinde recites ‘Hanuman Chalisa,’ Rahul Gandhi May Not Speak Today

The discussion regarding the no-confidence motion will take place in Lok Sabha on Tuesday. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is also scheduled to address the Lok Sabha, marking his first appearance following the revocation of his disqualification. As per speculations, he is poised to challenge the ruling party, BJP, and the Prime Minister regarding the Manipur issue. It is anticipated that the session will last for about 12 hours. Reportedly, approximately 6 hours and 41 minutes are allotted for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). On the other hand, Congress has one hour and 15 minutes to speak on their motion. While the debates are scheduled to unfold across two days, August 8 and 9, PM Modi will be responding to the debate on the third day, August 10.

Furthermore, Smriti Irani and Scindia have also been put forth by the BJP to launch a sharp retaliation against the Wayanad representative. On August 9, the Home Minister is scheduled to weigh in to assess the situation on the ground.

Five demands regarding the Manipur problem were made to the federal government by MP NK Premachandran of the Revolutionary Socialist Party. These consist of: 1) Send a mission to Manipur led by a Cabinet minister, and 2) Immediately replace the chief minister of Manipur. 3) The Prime Minister should call an all-party meeting to find a political solution for Manipur. 4) Strengthen relief and recovery efforts 5) The Centre should take aggressive measures to foster trust between the two warring communities and the people of Manipur.

The people of Manipur, especially the minority population, believe that PM Modi’s silence is purposeful and intended to help him achieve some political advantage. When we visited Manipur, the locals made this accusation, according to NK Premachandran, a member of the Revolutionary Socialist Party. “The Supreme Court’s decision from yesterday ratifies the no-confidence motion made by the INDIA team and was brought by Gaurav Gogoi. PM Modi would have resigned if he still had any shame: Concerning Manipur, CPI(M)

“The Supreme Court’s harsh action against the state government, which was also run by the BJP, by-passing the federal government, is unique in India’s history. The CPI(M) MP AM Ariff said during the discussion of the no-confidence vote that the prime minister should have resigned from his position if he still had any pride or shame.

Manish Tewari, a Congress MP, remarked during the no-confidence debate in the Lok Sabha that “Manipur violence will affect other states too, as well as the rest of the country,” expressing concern over the spread of violence from Manipur to neighboring states, particularly Mizoram.
