Crime Against Women: Woman Thrashed, And Tied To A Tree In A Semi-Naked State In Jharkhand

A woman in Jharkhand’s Giridih district brutally attacked, thrashed, and tied to a tree in a semi-naked state.

A distressing incident that occurred in Jharkhand’s Giridih district has come to light where a 26-year-old woman was brutally attacked, thrashed, and tied to a tree in a semi-naked state. The police were alerted about the odious crime on Thursday morning, they rescued the woman and promptly admitted her to a local hospital.

Following the incident, four individuals believed to be involved in the crime were apprehended by the police. The shocking event unfolded in a village under the Saria police station area, located approximately 170 km away from the state capital, Ranchi. The incident took place around 11 pm on Wednesday.

According to Bagodar Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Naushad Alam, initial investigations suggest that the woman had an illicit relationship with a man. The man, along with three other family members, allegedly carried out the heinous crime on Wednesday night. All four individuals have been arrested and are now facing legal consequences.

The victim recounted to the police that she received a call asking her to come out of her house. As she complied, two motorcycle-borne youths were waiting for her. They forcefully took her to a deserted location where she was subjected to a brutal assault, her clothes were torn, and she was tied to a tree.
