With the most people attending the flower plantation drive that was held here yesterday, Ziro set a state record.
Over three thousand enthusiastic residents of the valley planted flowers along the 12 kilometres of the Trans Arunachal Highway in the direction of Upper Subansiri District. People from all walks of life, including citizens, students, panchayat leaders, gaon buras, gaon buries, members of various NGOs, CBOs, village clan members, market committee members, and the government, began their journey at the Ziro police check gate in Siibey. More than one thousand ornamental cosmos flower saplings were planted by staff and general masses along the NH-13 TAH stretch until Pine Groove.
