Bharat Express Chairman Upendrra Rai
All India Achievers’ Conference: The ‘Achievers Convention’ was organized by the All India Achievers Conference (AIAC) at Hotel Samrat, Chanakyapuri, Delhi. In this program, Upendra Rai, Chairman, MD, and Editor-in-Chief of Bharat Express News Network, who reached the highest peak in the field of journalism, was honored with the ‘Icons and Trailblazer Awards’. Bharat Express Chairman Upendra Rai attended the seminar as the chief guest. He said during his address that individual achievement is that of a person, but collective achievement is that of the whole nation.
Bharat Express Chairman Upendrra Rai said, “When talking about nation-building, it becomes necessary to talk about the present, past, and future. The country in which we live has touched those heights of consciousness as perhaps no other country on this earth has. There is a word in the Vedic tradition or spiritual tradition of India called Moksha.” This word is not found in any other theology of the world, only in India. All the religious leaders in the world taught us how to control the mind and how to awaken our consciousness. But how to go beyond all this? Devotion after prayer, God after God, and how to go beyond God—these things came only in the middle of Indian spiritual consciousness, which was given by our sages.
Senior journalist Upendrra Rai said, “As far as I have read, thought, and contemplated, how did it happen that only 30 million British enslaved the whole of Asia, which had a population of 460 million?” It is strange to think that three people overpowered 40 people. Every day we see such incidents where four goons stand up and 200 people stand there and whisper among themselves, but no one can muster the courage to stop them. The nation whose consciousness or the consciousness of society remains like this is ready to be a slave again. India is a spiritual country, a great country, and it does not attack anyone. All these things are right in their place, but India forgot one thing: how to stop itself from someone’s attack.
Referring to a story, senior journalist Upendrra Rai said, “A painter from America made a picture of the billionaire lady there. I made him sit in front of him for seven days and kept taking pictures. After the picture was completed, that woman was about to come to take it. In such a situation, the question came to the mind of the painter: how much money should be asked for this picture—100, 200, or 500 dollars? Back then, $100 was a big deal.

Then it occurred to him that asking such a rich woman for $100 would be a small thing. After coming, the woman asked the painter how much money should be given to him for this. The painter said, “Whatever you understand, give it. The woman looked at the picture and, after praising it, gave her purse to him. The painter’s heart sank as to what to do with it. He would have asked for $100 more than this. When he said the same thing to the woman, he took back the purse, took out $100 from it, and gave it to the painter, saying, “I had given you two lakh dollars for this beautiful picture.
