Noida will celebrate Vijayadashami on Tuesday with Ravan effigy burnings at 35 locations and Goddess Durga idol immersions at around 200 sites.
Police and local authorities have strengthened security and traffic arrangements to manage crowds and prevent emergencies.
Vijayadashami, or Dussehra, symbolises the victory of good over evil. Authorities expect large gatherings at celebration venues across the city.
Police will deploy approximately 2,200 personnel, including 300 women officers, to maintain law and order and protect devotees. The Fire Department has placed 26 fire tenders and around 250 firefighting personnel on standby.
The Noida Traffic Police will implement special traffic diversions from 2 pm until late evening. Officials expect heavy congestion on Master Plan Road-1, particularly the stretch connecting Rajnigandha with Sectors 12, 22 and 56.
Authorities will modify traffic movement around Noida Stadium in Sector 21 and implement diversions in Sector 62 whenever necessary. These restrictions may continue until crowds disperse after Ravan Dahan.
DCP (Traffic) Syed Ali Abbas said the police had introduced special arrangements for public convenience. Commuters can call 9971009001 for traffic information and assistance.
Police have urged motorists to check routes before travelling, allow extra time, use designated parking spaces and avoid unnecessary trips near event venues. Authorities may tow improperly parked vehicles using cranes and take action against violators.
Officials have urged residents to celebrate peacefully, avoid spreading rumours, follow traffic rules and cooperate with police personnel.
The administration said these measures would help ensure safe celebrations and smoother traffic movement across Noida.
