Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on completing 25 years as the head of a government, describing the milestone as a moment of immense joy and praising his commitment to public service and the principle of ‘Nation First’.

In a post on X, CM Yogi said PM Modi had made ‘From Public Service to National Service’ the motto of his life and remained committed to taking India’s identity, pride and honour to greater heights. He said the Prime Minister’s 25 years in public office reflected unwavering dedication, determination and visionary leadership.

Yogi said PM Modi’s life continues to inspire people to build a developed, self-reliant and strong India. In a video message, he also said PM Modi’s journey had enabled the country to witness a new India that is confident, secure and capable of facing the world.

He extended his greetings to PM Modi on completing 25 years on the path of national service.

PM Modi completed 25 years as head of a government on October 7, marking a political journey that began when he took the oath as Gujarat Chief Minister in 2001. The Union Cabinet also passed a resolution on Tuesday congratulating him on completing 25 years of continuous leadership.

PM Modi served as Gujarat Chief Minister from 2001 to 2014 before becoming Prime Minister. He earlier held key organisational roles in the RSS and BJP.

His tenure has focused on welfare delivery, infrastructure and digital governance. India’s extreme poverty rate fell from 16.2 per cent in 2011-12 to 2.3 per cent in 2022-23, according to the World Bank.

His government has also expanded India’s global engagement and role in the Global South.
