Adani Electricity on Tuesday announced streamlined arrangements for Navratri and Durga Puja celebrations in Mumbai, promising temporary electricity connections to pandal organisers within 48 hours of receiving complete applications.
The utility urged organisers to use authorised connections and follow electrical safety norms to ensure reliable power during the festive season, when hundreds of pandals operate across the city.
Organisers can apply online for temporary connections through the company’s website under the ‘New Connection’ section. Adani Electricity said it has strengthened its operations to accelerate connection releases and maintain uninterrupted supply.
The utility has installed nearly 850 floodlights at Navratri and Durga Puja pandal locations to improve visibility and safety for devotees.
The preparations build on the company’s arrangements during the recent Ganesh festival, when it provided around 1,100 temporary connections to Ganpati pandals.
Last year, it supplied uninterrupted power to more than 653 Navratri and Durga Puja pandals within its distribution network.
Adani Electricity has deployed dedicated Quick Response Teams with a comprehensive restoration plan to address faults and restore supply during the celebrations.
The company has urged organisers to hire only licensed electrical contractors for wiring and installations and use approved electrical materials and equipment.
It had earlier installed more than 2,792 floodlights across 149 immersion locations in 22 Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation wards to support safe festivities.
