President Parmelin will meet President Droupadi Murmu, who will host a banquet in his honour. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar will also meet him.
Parmelin will attend the second India-EFTA Prosperity Summit on October 7, marking the first anniversary of the TEPA coming into force.

The visit comes amid sustained engagement between India and Switzerland. The last State visit by an Indian President to Switzerland took place in 2019, while Prime Minister Modi visited the country in 2016 and 2018.
The talks will strengthen bilateral cooperation and deepen economic and strategic engagement between India and Switzerland.
