India’s smartphone market is heading into the festive season with several new devices from Vivo, Oppo, OnePlus and Motorola.
While September delivered several flagship launches, October will bring a smaller but significant lineup across premium, mid-range and battery-focused segments.
Oppo will kick off the month with its F35 series on October 5.
Reports expect the F35 Pro to focus on battery life, display quality and selfie photography, while the company targets buyers looking for feature-rich devices in the mid-range segment.
Vivo will follow on October 6 with the V80 and S2 FE. Vivo has confirmed the V80 for India and will equip it with a 7,200mAh battery and 90W charging.
The phone will also focus heavily on photography with Zeiss-tuned cameras. The S2 FE could target buyers who prioritise battery capacity and a high-refresh-rate display.
Motorola will also introduce the Edge 70 Neo in India during October, although the company has not announced an exact launch date.
Reports suggest that the phone could use a Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset and offer a clean Android experience.
Meanwhile, OnePlus will unveil the OnePlus 16 in China on October 12.
The flagship could bring a next-generation Snapdragon processor, a large battery and upgraded cameras. India may receive the device later.
These launches could give festive shoppers more choices before Diwali, particularly as brands compete on cameras, battery capacity, displays and performance.
