Union Home Minister Amit Shah congratulated Parinaaz Dhaliwal, Raiza Dhillon and Maheshwari Chauhan after the Indian trio won the bronze medal in the women’s skeet team event at the 2026 Asian Games.
In a post on social media, Shah praised the shooters for their performance and urged them to maintain their winning spirit.
“Well done, Parinaaz Dhaliwal, Raiza Dhillon, and Maheshwari Chauhan. Your victory in the Women’s Skeet Team event at the #AsianGames2026, winning the Bronze Medal🥉, brings home another proud moment for India. Keep up the winning spirit,” the Minister posted on X.

The Indian team recorded 331 hits to finish third. Dhillon and Dhaliwal contributed 111 hits each, while Chauhan registered 109.
The bronze marked India’s first-ever Asian Games medal in the women’s skeet team event. China won gold, while Kazakhstan took silver.
The medal was part of India’s strong shooting campaign at the Aichi-Nagoya Games.
The country secured bronze in the men’s skeet team event through Anant Jeet Singh Naruka, Mairaj Ahmad Khan and Bhavtegh Singh Gill.
Dhillon and Dhaliwal reached the women’s individual skeet final after recording 111 hits each in qualification. Dhillon finished fourth with 23 hits, while Dhaliwal placed eighth. Chauhan finished 12th in qualification and did not progress to the final.
The performances added to India’s shooting medal tally and highlighted the country’s growing presence in shotgun events at the Asian Games.
