Excitement over Apple’s latest smartphones was evident in Delhi as customers arrived at Select City Walk in Saket early on September 18 to buy the newly launched iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max.
Apple began sales of the new Pro models across India on September 18 after opening bookings on September 12. Several customers reached stores early, hoping to be among the first buyers to collect their devices.
One customer told ANI that he had reserved the 1TB iPhone 18 Pro Max and hoped to collect it first despite the long queue outside the store. “I want to get it first,” he said. He added that he currently uses an iPhone 17 Pro and was keen to see the changes introduced with the latest model.
ANI footage showed customers waiting outside the Delhi mall before sunrise. Some customers sat on chairs in the darkness while others stood in line, waiting for the store to open and sales to begin.
The early turnout reflected strong interest in Apple’s latest flagship smartphones, with customers eager to experience the new models. Many buyers reached the store several hours before opening time to secure an early collection.
Apple says the latest Pro models bring major improvements in photography, performance, battery life and AI-powered features. The company has described the new Pro range as its biggest Pro upgrade so far, highlighting enhancements designed around features customers use regularly.
Apple’s Greg Joswiak said the company focused on improving features customers use most. The iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max are now available across India.
