Stock market closed: On the third day of the trading week, there was a strong boom in the market. Nifty closed up 147 points at 17,451, Nifty Bank up 429 points at 40,698 and Sensex closed up 449 points at 59,411. Out of 50 shares of Nifty, 45 were bought and 5 were sold.
