The two-day awareness conference of Vishwa Mangalya Sabha on the theme ‘Contemporary Motherhood (Yuganukul Matrutva)’ began on Thursday with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp at the Vishwa Yuvak Kendra in New Delhi.
Around 250 women volunteers participated on the first day of the conference, with representatives attending from Jammu, Srinagar, Anantnag, Leh-Ladakh, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur and several other regions across northern India.
The inaugural session was attended by Vishwa Mangalya Sabha Founder and Guruji of the Shri Datta Peeth Tradition, the 18th Peethadheeshwar, Param Pujya Acharya Swami Shri Jitendranath Ji Maharaj.
Also present on the occasion were Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) senior pracharak and organisation mentor Prashant Haltarkar, Vishwa Mangalya Sabha National President Nalini Havare, and National Organisation Secretary Vrushali Joshi.
National Organisation Secretary Vrushali Joshi said that, with the objective of ‘Nation Building Through Motherhood’, Vishwa Mangalya Sabha is working across the country to organise women and build a value-based society.
Vrushali Joshi said that along with the organisation’s full-time women workers, lakhs of homemaker volunteers are contributing to the creation of a culturally rooted and value-oriented future generation while fulfilling their responsibilities towards family, society and the nation. She also stressed the need to preserve the cultural values of Indian motherhood and a family environment rooted in Indian traditions.
Acharya Swami Shri Jitendranath Ji Maharaj said that the changing social environment calls for serious deliberation on the role and challenges of motherhood.
Prashant Haltarkar said that the greatest strength of any organisation lies in its dedicated and steadfast workers, who carry forward the task of nation-building with the spirit of a joint family.
Second-Day Programme
On the second day of the conference, Vishwa Mangalya Sabha will hold a workers’ session at 9 AM on Friday at the Vishwa Yuvak Kendra. RSS Sarsanghchalak Dr Mohan Bhagwat will guide the organisation’s workers, who will discuss the roadmap for the organisation’s activities for the coming year.
Later, at 4 PM, Dr Mohan Bhagwat will deliver a public address on the theme ‘Contemporary Motherhood (Yuganukul Matrutva)’ at the Ambedkar International Centre in New Delhi.
Bharat Express News Network Chairman and Managing Director Upendrra Rai will also attend the programme on Friday.
Around 800 to 1,000 eminent women from various states of northern India will likely participate.
According to Vishwa Mangalya Sabha, the two-day awareness conference serves as a key platform for deliberations on motherhood, family values, cultural traditions and nation-building in the changing social landscape, while also facilitating planning for the organisation’s annual activities.
