Amit Shah Backs PM Modi’s Fast-Track Courts For Paper Leak Cases

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday applauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s announcement to establish fast-track courts for the NEET paper leak case, stating that protecting the interests and aspirations of young people remains the government’s foremost responsibility.

Sharing his views on X, Shah said the decision to conduct expedited trials and take firm action against those involved in paper leak cases demonstrates the government’s determination to safeguard students’ futures. He added that the initiative would strengthen confidence in the education system.

Earlier on Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the establishment of fast-track courts to ensure speedy trials and impose strict punishment on those found guilty of examination paper leaks.

Emphasising the importance of young people in nation-building, the Prime Minister said the government would not tolerate any attempt to compromise students’ futures. He also directed the relevant authorities to implement the decision immediately.

Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal also expressed support for the move, describing India’s youth as the country’s greatest strength. He said the fast-track courts would help deliver timely justice and reinforce the government’s resolve to create a fair environment where students can pursue their ambitions with confidence.

The NEET paper leak controversy has emerged as a major national issue after alleged examination irregularities affected lakhs of students across the country.

The matter has intensified political confrontations, with both the government and the Opposition clashing over the issue in Parliament and during public protests.

The newly announced fast-track courts are expected to accelerate legal proceedings, hold the accused accountable and reinforce public trust in the country’s examination system.
